PSHE education equips young people with the knowledge, understanding and skills they need to manage their lives. Through a variety of different lessons, the Secondary Team are able to share information, thoughts, qualities and attributes that may help students thrive as individuals, family members and members of society.
“Thank you so much for coming in to Wilson’s School and running a series of PSHE lessons for Year 7. The form tutors have all been very positive and they tell me that the boys found the activities both enjoyable and engaging. I am very grateful indeed; especially with you coming back 5 times in total.” Jason Hudson, Maths Teacher, Wilson’s School
Sex and Relationship Education
Cat Hubbard (secondary school co-ordinator) trained with Oasis on their Supporting Young People in Promoting Positive Relationships course and is able to offer schools SRE as part of their PSHE provision.
These lessons are interactive and provide opportunity for young people to take charge of their own learning. Lessons develop skills, challenge attitudes and values, and develop knowledge and understanding.
The Oasis Esteem programme has been delivered to over 25,000 young people in schools around the country, and is designed to:
- Increase self esteem and assertiveness
- Educate about the realities of Sexual Transmitted Infections
- Examine the sources of teenage ideas about sex and relationships
- Challenge common myths
- Promote confident decision-making.
Please thank all your team for a great day- many positive comments from staff and students
